Sleeping 12 comfortably and renovated and decorated to the highest standards. Beautiful, spiritual, inspiring, the perfect holiday base beneath Cader Idris and just minutes from the sea. Formerly Capel Bethel, it is a wonderful family home we would like to share.

There are 5 bedrooms, 3 shower-rooms and a bathroom, utility room with endless piping-hot, high-pressure water.

Breathtaking 37’ x 23’ open-plan lounge-kitchen-dining. Fantastic kitchen with dish-washer, two fridges, freezer, superb six-hob, two-oven stove. Capel Bethel is packed with books (after all it’s often used by writers as a retreat), videos, DVDs & games, and features an antique bar-billiards table.

The main lounge has no less than 12 windows (7 stained-glass) and is truly warm and welcoming, with beautiful, calming light.


First class facilities
Computers and a printer. 42” flat-screen HD-TV, quality stereo systems including MP3 player dock. There are TVs in 3 bedrooms, plus Sky HD-TV in lounge with all channels.

The Chapel is the Perfect Writers Retreat
There are books everywhere from novels and biographies to short-stories and poems and dozens and dozens of books on the craft of writing, on poetry, on screenwriting, writing for TV & Film and plays.

There are five good stereos and an iPod dock (but bring your own music, our CD stock is very limited. For relaxation you are surrounded by hills with hundreds of excellent walks and you are barely 800 yards from the sea, fifty yard from the tumbling River Gwril.

Capel Cader Idris is the perfect place for creative courses, with excellent accommodation, endless hot water, a pub and cafe within yards. The main lounge area has excellent space and there are computers and a printer.
