BEDDGELERT is a very picturesque village set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery largely owned by the National Trust. The village shop is comprehensively stocked and is within easy walking distance of the cottage, as is the Post Office, Church, various pubs, hotels, restaurants and gift shops.

Our cottage, BRACKENBURY is Grade 2 listed set in the prime village location overlooking the village green (which has no vehicular access) and the adjacent River Glaslyn. The cottage has been in the family for over 50 years and was completely renovated, extended and modernised 18 years ago as a family home, sleeping 4 in comfort and 6 at a pinch. Constant maintenance and redecoration is carried out annually. Access is from the rear, where there is outside parking for two cars, through a sheltered back garden.

GUEST COMMENTS

Bob and Liz Scott. Salisbury, Wilts.
"...it was really super - comfortable, warm and extremely well found. We didn't need anything, even for cooking our Christmas dinner...and a real bonus having the boiler room to dry everything after getting soaked everyday. Even the dogs appreciated the warmth and radiator above their bed!”

Peter Coleman. Chiddingfold, Surrey.
"Just a line to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage in Beddgelert. All are agreed that it was the best cottage we have rented so far and it is unlikely we will find another as good."

Mrs. Joan Dryland, Surminster Newton, Dorset & Mrs. Margot
York, Axminster, Devon.
"My sister and I enjoyed so very much our holiday in your charming cottage. We felt very much at home in such comfortable surroundings - simply everything was so carefully thought of to the last detail. The conservatory was an added bonus to breakfast each morning and the whole countryside around was breathtaking - and helpful neighbours, too."....... "We've felt very relaxed in this beautiful cottage amongst wonderful scenery."

The Bourdeaudhui family. Markedaal, Belgium.
"A cosy cottage + Nice neighbours + bright weather + hospitable people + marvellous scenery = a perfect holiday!"

Mrs. Josephine Evans. Lower Swell, Glos.
"Lovely cottage; the books are a serious distraction especially to my husband! I had treated him to a new one for our holiday little realising how unnecessary it was."

Dr. & Mrs. J. F. Nunn, Northwood, Middlesex & Mr. & Mrs. P.
Bursey, Edgbaston.
"We had a really wonderful holiday in Beddgelert yet again. The weather was good and everything worked well. We have now been coming for eleven years and it is certainly a magical place, which we enjoy enormously. We would like to book our usual week again next year."

The Phillips family.  Bray, Maidenhead, Berks.
"My husband, Peter, daughters Lucy, April and myself have just returned (with our dogs) from a weeks stay at Brackenbury. I would like to thank you very much from us all. The cottage was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Snowdonia. We would certainly rent your cottage again and recommend it to others. We have come home feeling totally relaxed and had a very good holiday."

The Matts family (with three children), Addlestone, Surrey.
“Just a note to say we had a lovely holiday once again at Brackenbury. We really appreciated the new bed, too - a great addition to an already lovely cottage. Looking forward to nest year already!”
